Ever since Luz Noceda had been brutally chased away from the boiling isles 3 years ago by her very own girlfriend she had been feeling worse than ever.
She missed the Boiling Isles (the only place where she could truly be herself without worrying about others) dearly. 
The school had been hard on her, almost as hard as her mental health. 
Luz can't help but think about the place she called home and how much she missed all the people there, even Amity after she made her leave. She had seen the situation and didn't fully understand why, but she must've had a great reason, and when she finally found a way to get back, she was out for answers about what happened to her cotton candy-haired goodness. 
Can you imagine her surprise when she saw her once girlfriend on the Emperor's coven poster?

Luz runs into it and turns out it took her to the boiling isles. But Luz has changed, she was mean, quiet, hostile and had mad trust and anger issues she also developed Hemophobia (fear of blood) and Traumatophobia (fear of having an injury). When joining Hexside the girls there were mean and harsh like the kids at her human school, but Luz learned how to stick her ground there at her human school. Luz would stand her ground and be mean to literally everyone that got in her way.
