I also have not read the DS manga yet, so this is probably gonna fall out of canon, and is my own retelling of cannon and non cannon events, if that made any sense whatsoever

When attempting to work it out, you find each other to have a hard time even making it possible. Making the situation worse the longer you bond after lost time. Will your interactions contribute to Rengoku's life greatly and will be so that in your case?
