Cassie Carlisle is, you know, a loser. She combines a hostile attitude with enough snark to impress even the sassiest of her favourite fictional characters, but at the same time it's pretty hard to make friends when you don't want any.
So when new girl Ellie ("Elinor, if you really have to.") Andrews demands to pair up with her for the history project, Cassie agrees. But Ellie's not doing this out of charity, she's on a mission to tell Cassie who she really is.
Yeah, it's pretty stereotypical of this genre, but what the hell, it's a fun write.
