La historia narra la pacífica noche de invierno en la aldea de Sooga, donde Garu, un ninja honorable, se encuentra reflexionando sobre su inesperado matrimonio con Pucca. A pesar de sus quejas constantes en la infancia, Garu se sorprende al encontrarse compartiendo su vida con la mujer que lo solía perseguir desde los 10 años.
