Emily Hastes is a young, sixteen year old girl who was the heart throb of the whole school. She’s also dating the male heart throb, Matthew Crumb. That’s until the accident that Matt, Matthew, caused in a jealous raged alcoholic fit. Emily is scarred for life literally. The crash leaves Emily blinded in one eye paralyzed in one leg and scared externally everywhere especially on her face. Emily receives a lot of pity in the beginning but after the effect wears off Emily slowly loses her place in the social ladder. Emily begins to make friends in new places, meet people she never dreamed of meeting and they don’t care about looks and like Emily for who she is. The Emily meets the king of the Island of Misfits, Andrew. And because Emily is the newest edition he deems it fit to make her life a living hell. Then Emily starts to receive mysterious letters, calls, and she always has this feeling like she’s being watched and they all seem to be telling her that her “accident” wasn’t a complete accident. Emily and her new band of friends dig deeper in the mysterious case. Will she ever receive redemption for what’s happened to her?
