Heyo everyone! I am just writing this for fun and I might not post everyday but I'll post when I can! If you have any requests I'll read them (don't make it nasty though). Also I'll do the best I can to make these characters like their cannon selves. Also Inanimate Insanity is not mine! It's a show on YouTube their channel name is AnimationEpic. What's It Like Outside? [An II Fanfiction]
Baseball, Lightbulb, and eventually Balloon are captured by Test Tube and forced to partake in experiments that slowly get more and more dangerous. Meanwhile, their friends back at Hotel OJ are desperately trying to find them. (Yes, this is another one of those evil Test Tube experiment fics lol) Trigger warnings: kidnapping , torture , psychological distress , unethical experiments , blood descriptions , electrocution , serious injuries (each chapter will have its own tws these are just the commonly reoccurring ones) Inspired by Inanimate Experiments, Experiment 21 & the song Telescope by Cavetown There will be polybrights mentions during the sections at Hotel OJ (or just outside of the lab in general) jic that bothers anyone. (That's Paintbrush x Lightbulb x Test Tube x Fan btw) (Test Tube and Lightbulb's relationship isn't romantic at all after the prologue though dw) Note: This is the first fanfiction I've ever wrote, so it might be a little rough around the edges. Lightbulb wakes up in Hotel OJ to find everything... perfect. Too perfect. Everyone's acting like the best possible versions of themselves - Knife is gentle and soft-spoken, Taco and Pickle are happily together with no tension, and Balloon has completely dropped his desperate people-pleasing act. Even MePhone seems more stable and kind. At first, Lightbulb thinks this is amazing! All the conflict and drama that used to stress her out are gone. But something feels fundamentally wrong. The conversations are too polite, the smiles too consistent, and everyone keeps insisting they've "always been this way." When Lightbulb tries to bring up past arguments or drama, everyone looks at her with genuine confusion. "Lightbulb, why would you think Knife ever threatened anyone?" "Taco would never manipulate people, that's such a mean thing to suggest!" They seem genuinely hurt that she'd imply they were ever anything but perfect. She has to choose: pretend to be the "normal" version of herself that they want, or risk everything to restore her friends' true selves. But the more she fights against the artificial normalcy, the more she questions if maybe being "fixed" wouldn't be so bad after all... Content warning: Contains descriptions of medical content such as needles, surgeries, and existential stress. Also implied Lightbrush and a tad bit of Mephoj. Inbetween Two Psychos | Inanimate Insanity AU [ON HIATUS]
It was just a normal day at Hotel OJ for Lightbulb. That was, until Test Tube kidnapped Paintbrush for inhumane expiriments, and an unknown assailant has shot and killed Marshmallow. Now, OJ and Paper are trying to capture the culprit, while Lightbulb realizes she's gonna go out by one side or another. This fic is split into multiple acts: Act 1: Hiding in Plain Sight (Chapters 1-11) "Lightbulb feels cornered after Test Tube kidnaps Paintbrush and multiple other contestants, and someone starts murdering her teammates. All the while, OJ and Paper try to figure out what's going on." Act 2: Whiplash (Chapters 12-) "Test Tube, now stuck underground, grows closer with Fan. Meanwhile, Lightbulb attempts to live with the consequences of not acting on her suspicions earlier." TW: Gore, violence, mentions of suicide, torture, and a lot of cliffhangers (sorry) NOTE: This takes place after II2 18.
