I don't know what to put here, I'm just seeing how people like this story. Let me give you the rundown.
We follow an assassin, who gets a contract to assassinate someone in the capital of his kingdom. In carrying out the contract he meets the king, who is not a good man. He does shady things behind the scenes that the public either doesn't know about or ignores for some reason. And there are also ancient beings that the king may or may not be tied into somehow.
