With the kingdom donned in a thick web of lies, her only friend a jealous prince, and the discovery of dark magic in their city, her world is thrown into bloodied chaos.
Where will her heart lie when the choice is forced upon her? What will guide her blade in the dark end? Her honour or her heart?

Meanwhile, in the mountainous regions of District 2, Cato Hadley and Clove Kentwell have trained their whole lives for the Games. Nevertheless, their ambitions change when they, without meaning to, find themselves in the Games together. They are both determined to win. But if they don't, what will happen to them? The brainwashed tributes who land in New York City know nothing of who they are or where they are from. They do not remember Panem, or the Games, or even their own names.
