Science-fantasy, romance

From a lineage of warriors, Ira was raised a weapon, her bones cast in metal, her heart set in ice. Unlike many of her warrior kind Ira was born amongst nobility, torn between the world of battle and tournament, and the world of royalty. She has only ever known honour, pride and blood, but when Ira stumbles down into the icy streets below the city in order to push her training, she falls too far. Finding herself in a new world of dark uncontrolled powers, and angry, rather alluring men, danger and betrayal of the catastrophic and magical kind await Ira upon the icy horizon. With the kingdom donned in a thick web of lies, her only friend a jealous prince, and the discovery of dark magic in their city, her world is thrown into bloodied chaos.
Where will her heart lie when the choice is forced upon her? What will guide her blade in the dark end? Her honour or her heart?

Seventy-four years has been long enough. The way of the infamous Hunger Games has been altered. No longer is every Gamemaker out to devise the worst means of torture and death for every tribute. No longer are the people of Panem outwardly tolerant of President Snow's murderous actions. Under the facade of a normal group of Gamemakers, several rebellious citizens have begun an experiment which, if it succeeds, will make use of technology both to rescue the tributes before they are dead and then deposit the brainwashed children back in time. They have to try it. No one knows what horrors future Hunger Games may bring, and the desperate rebels are willing to try anything. Meanwhile, in the mountainous regions of District 2, Cato Hadley and Clove Kentwell have trained their whole lives for the Games. Nevertheless, their ambitions change when they, without meaning to, find themselves in the Games together. They are both determined to win. But if they don't, what will happen to them? The brainwashed tributes who land in New York City know nothing of who they are or where they are from. They do not remember Panem, or the Games, or even their own names. This is a science fiction story based off the Hunger Games and its characters. Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Hunger Games! This story is based around a plot twist I created, but all rights go to Suzanne Collins, the author of the original series. Disclaimer no. 2: this was a first draft written by a very awkward fifteen-year-old me; please treat it as such. Thanks. *insert smiley emoji here* ➸ Highest ranking: #86 in Science Fiction © 2015 clato_maroondiamonds

His beauty was unjustifiable through words. The Intelligence pummeled the greatest of minds. Voice, deeper than the darkest Abyss of sea and emotions a stark absence in his existence. A young man, raised inside the four walls of laboratory. Experimented to rising perfection. A monotone life. A suffocation he never understood, regards to the way he was stripped off from feeling any of them. He doesn't plan the escape into a world he never saw. Has never seen. But it happens. When Althea Davies, a nineteen year old art student runs over a man in ill fitted security uniform. She wasn't prepared to shelter the aftermath of her recklessness, in her apartment. A man so odd, so beautiful. His vocabulary of different fashion and his eyes a screaming blank story. Under the same roof he gravely sat and analysed the kind humans interacted. He learned, he understood but never felt. His eyes saw her every day. The care she rendered on him, he began to look forward to it. Looking forward? He wasn't suppose to. Time lapses. Days pass by. It doesn't take her long to realize that the innocence she had named him with was infact a lethal misunderstanding the day she witnessed that blood was nothing but a stain in his hand for him. He was toxic. she realize's it when he begins to feel. But the problem is he only feels for her. Only. Her. And there was no stoping a man with embedded inhumanity from getting what he wants. •REVIEWS I have just binged read this whole friggin book. By 2422, humankind has achieved an ecotopian climate-positive future. There's zero conflict and zero waste throughout the whole world. But, when a young girl starts having mysterious visions of a walled city, it might signal the ancient return of something threatening this ideal. Can humans escape their nature, or will they return to their old patterns and behaviours? Zee, a quiet and industrious young girl, begins to have vivid dreams and visions of a walled city and a mysterious red book when she turns fifteen. She embarks on a dangerous training programme, meeting other teenagers from around the planet, navigating deep sea trenches, black holes, and a new romance whilst trying to uncover an ancient mystery surrounding quantum entanglement. Will she solve it to save her pet squid and the planet? When millions of Earth's populations left four hundred years ago seeking a new planet to colonise, it paved the way for Earth to stabilise and thrive. But what happened to those people? Why has there been no contact? Are the visions sent from the ancient humans who left planet Earth? Zee quickly learns that her newfound independence is not without its challenges. Some of which might not be from this planet.
