Welcome to the Drama Parade
This is the story of the Durban High School Marching Band in small-town California. It's a small but big-enough band with just the right number of students in each section. With this comes just a few great friendships... and even greater drama, fights, bullying, and division. Among the students and among the parents in the band boosters. This drama is at its peak early in the season, a little before band camp and even at points in between band camp and competition season. Their show this season, though, is themed from My Chemical Romance's album The Black Parade. Some are so excited while others are enraged about the theme. Watch how a few band kids stomp this drama, fighting, and bullying to help everybody finally get along. Many students in the marching band are fighting their own battles off the field. Why exactly do they finally take a stand for cooperation, kindness, and acceptance the very year they perform an MCR-based show? How will they end the Drama Parade and turn it into a Kind and Caring Parade for all? Growing up is difficult. The body goes through changes. Hormones mess with you. Everyone gets bullied at one point by someone. For Zora, it was worse. Not only was she bullied at school, she was bullied at home, abused by her father. She was a disgrace in everyone's eyes. Constantly suffering, she needed something that would give her hope and make her feel good about herself. Though it caused her to be bullied even more, she didn't care. She would live her life out and proud as a woman, despite how everyone saw her as a man.
