Do you really know what happens after death? What if it wasn't what you thought it was from the beginning? This is the story of Anthony, a totally normal teenager who found himself capable of surprising accomplishments. But is it really what he always thought it would be? Is it really fun to be capable of that?
This story is still ongoing. As I am writing this, only the first part, "anomalies" is published. I am working on the next part and it might take a bit of time before coming out. Hope you guys will enjoy this!

The Chosen One Chronicles: Where the Light Meets the Dark
High school student Anthony Scalese was having a normal day when his friends decided that they wanted to attend a party. After bumping into Emma, the girl of his dreams, in a not-so-positive way, he realizes that the day isn't going well. It gets worse when tragedy strikes, and his friend takes his own life at that party, forcing him into a depression that not even his little sister can help him out of. The only thing that keeps him going is his excitement for a school camping trip that is coming up with his best friend Edward. After a little mishap while hiking down from their camp site, Anthony and his major crush fall down the side of the mountain and get stuck, then get chased by a gun-wielding maniac into a cave. After what seems like days, they make it out of the cave alive, only to find out that they have ended up in a new world: a world where nothing makes sense. There are giants and leprechauns and shapeshifters...but there is also a great darkness that is out to destroy everyone-and everything-that it sees. Young Anthony finds out that it is up to him and Emma to save this new world with great powers that he had no idea he had, and make it home before anybody suspects a thing. Told from a first-person point-of-view, it goes into detail about the thought processes of a young man who has everything to lose. The protagonist deals with real life struggles every day, including the death of his friend, his dad who left him at an early age, and the pain of seeing his little sister being hurt by her boyfriend. He also has to take charge and become a hero for those who can't against an unwavering bully in a far-away world. My book blends fiction with reality, as the reader follows along in the life of a shy high school student who gets thrown into many situations he must overcome as he finds out who he truly is and why it is him who needs to save the world, while keeping the reader guessing every step of the way.Concluida

~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. I was 13 when I started drinking alcohol for fun. 14 the first time I took ecstasy at a college party I snuck into, the same age I lost my virginity. This was the first time I went to a mental institution because it's also the year I first tried to kill myself. 15 the first time I smoked meth, took a bump of cocaine, shot myself up with heroine. This was the first time I got sent to rehab, it didn't work and I came out worse. I was 16 when I tried to commit three times in the same year, the last time I got my heart to stop for 30 seconds. That year was also the first time I snorted Hydrocodone, getting me started in opiates, I experimented with Xanax and liked it. And I was a month from 17 when I got sober. - "Fuck you." I snap.
