Blood-magic was once as much a part of Egypt as the sands or the Nile, but no longer. Magic is weak, now, an echo of what it once was. The pharaohs have married brother to sister to preserve their abilities, but all it has done is corrupted them, and made them even weaker.

Mayet is the daughter of a physician, whose only dream is to become a bone-setter like her father. However, the discovery that she possesses the deep blood-magic of the Star-Dwellers puts her life, and that of her father's, in danger. Forced to flee Egypt, Mayet and her father rebuild their lives amongst The People of the Green Sea.

Unfortunately, they soon find that the sandstorms of Egypt are not so easily evaded.

Breaking Through Time

44 parts Complete

I looked at Michael lying in a pool of blood. Emily and Jack were still off the side in a cage, screaming and crying while looking at this horrifying situation. Robert was cuffed to the wall crying and blood was sipping down on his naked torso as he was shouting "No!" And looking down at me. This is it, Isabel, it is just you and me now! I have gone through a lot within the last few months and I am not the same person anymore. The anger, the pain of my injuries and the pain coming from my heart at everything that has been done to me and my family, for no reason at all, coalesces into a rage that will not be quenched ... All of this, because of some stupid prejudice by this woman standing now in front of me, so proud of herself... "That's it, Isabel! I had enough of it now! Let's end it now, once and for all!" I shout and her. Her black eyes widen and her pale face fills with a big smile.
