Als die 16-Jährige Athena sich dazu entschließt ein Auslandsjahr in einem Schottischen Internat zu verbringen sieht sie ihr neues Leben schon genau vor sich. Viele Freunde, Schlosspartys und sternenklare Nächte auf dem Internatsdach, die sie vergessen lassen, dass sie noch ein anderes, erdrückendes Leben in Deutschland hat.
Als sie sich all das ausgemalt hatte stand eine Sache jedoch nicht auf ihrer Liste. Ein gut aussehender Junge, der sie täglich in den Wahnsinn treibt und den sie gerne zu oft da hin schicken würde, wo der Pfeffer wächst. 
Doch kann Athena ihn einfach so aus ihrem Leben in Schottland verbannen oder ist dieser gut aussehende Junge vielleicht doch nicht so schlimm wie sie anfangs dachte?
