Juliana tiene 8 años e ingresa a sala de urgencias por un fuerte dolor vaginal, proveniente de una infección bacteriana, le suministran antibióticos orales y le dan salida a las 4 horas de haber ingresado, la niña sigue tomando los medicamentos en su casa pero los síntomas persisten, la madre le suministra remedios caseros, pero la sintomatología persiste, teniendo que acudir nuevamente a urgencias.

Ingresa nuevamente y le suministran medicamentos vía muscular para aliviar el dolor, el Pediatra de turno decide realizarle un urocultivo para saber el diagnostico real, debido a que su orina esta con sangre se decide realizar la extracción por sonda lo más pronto posible debido a que lleva muchos días con la infección y así prevenir las complicaciones y disminuir la probabilidad de que haya daño renal en el futuro.

La grafica nos indica que mientras se le sumistro el antibiótico, la infección estaba disminuyendo al ingerir medicamentos caseros la proliferación bacteriana aumento. En base de esto se decide administrar antibióticos más fuertes para combatir este tipo de bacterias.
Después de 8 días de hospitalización la niña es dada de alta con recomendaciones y medicamentos para terminar su tratamiento, se asigna cita de control medico para realizar nuevamente exámenes y descartar que aun la infección continua.All Rights Reserved
