Sasha Waybright is a star player on the women's football team at North Angelwood University, or NAU. She has a certain reputation around campus; she's undeniably attractive, notoriously brash and has every student believing the same collective thought: she's a player you just don't mess with, on or off the field.
So when Anne Boonchuy, a journalist for the university newspaper, bumps into the jock, she finds the so-called "hardcore" athlete is more than meets the eye.
There is no possible way a girl like Sasha would ever speak to her, let alone be friends. In fact, Anne doesn't even like her. But when Sasha comes to Anne asking for help, her perspective gets a lot more interesting.
