Katsumi Nakamura and Tetsuya Kuroko have decided to cut off all communications with their former middle school basketball team as they start their new lives at Seirin High School. They both appear to have below average abilities both on and off the basketball court, which helps both of them to move around unnoticed.

They call is 'misdirection'. By keeping themselves unnoticed, it gives them an advantage that not many people acknowledge. Although they have the same abilities, Nakamura is a little more... special.

They both join the Seirin basketball team, and the team thrives now that the two phantoms give them an advantage.

But what will happen when the famous 'Generation of Miracles' become their opponents in basketball tournaments?
