Madeline Peters was a mistake. Her very existence was a mistake. Well, that's what her so called mother said before she dropped her on the dusty door steps of Wayne Manor.
Madeline was gifted, or shall I say cursed with supernatural powers that nobody could explain.
That's when Bruce Wayne stepped in.
Taking the cursed girl in from the age of three Madeline barely new the term normal, especially when things go 'bang' every time she gets, let's say too emotional. From schools banning the new member of the Wayne family Madeline spent weeks upon weeks either trapped in the empty halls of the manor or hard nights spent training and stoping so called crime on the streets of the hell hole called Gotham.
After nine years of being the only person, besides from Alfred, to scream the Wayne name in full out spite, Bruce brings a 12 year old boy home.

Cathleen was only five when it happened, when her parents died before her eyes. That night started out amazing, she had dinner with them and they went out for ice cream. However, Gotham isn't a place where good things last. When they made it to their car, it exploded, killing her mother instantly, her father rushed to save his daughter, but was gunned down. Little Cathleen could only lay there motionless and watch, whilst slipping into a coma. She slept for a year, but then woke up. The doctors didn't know how to console the traumatized six year old girl, so they let her cry it out. Once she was able to leave the hospital, she was sent to Juvi, because all of Gotham's orphanages where full. She was in Juvi for a year, before taken hostage by Joker. That's when she met Batman, and Red Robin, and Red Hood, And Nightwing. They saved her, they notice that she shouldn't be in Juvi, so they bring her to an orphanage.
