Wilbur is a young, trans masc teen. He is out to his parents, and they fully support him. They've bought him binders, let him cut his hair, and gotten him other things to help him transition. 

The town they live in though? Not very supportive. 

When they first noticed Wilbur out in public with his parents, people thought they had adopted, only to find out that he was indeed the young "girl" that happily ran around the small town with the other kids. They weren't too happy. The whole town, although small, is very homophobic and transphobic. Wilbur and his parents are the only people that are part of/support the LGBTQ+ community.

On September 14, 2009, on Wilbur's thirteenth birthday, he and his parents happily spend the day together in their small home. However that happy day turned into a not-so-happy night. Two unidentifiable people break into their home, kill Wilbur's parents, and abduct him. 

All because he's trans. He blames only himself.

They're willing to listen to him, to learn about him, but in doing so, realise something is off about Tommy. Is he just a cool kid with an attitude, like Techno? Or is there a secret Tommy's tried so hard to hide. One that would explain his behaviour and frequent injuries. One that would make Tommy a victim and not a culprit. Tommy had just recently moved homes. The one he left was one full of memories. Not good ones, but not necessarily bad ones, either. He didn't have much to live for at his old home, so he moved in hope of starting over and meeting new people. He had no more family, and his school friends had long moved on from him. In fact, the only number in his contacts was his mum's who was long passed away. Tommy was young (sixteen, to be exact) and he often forgot things. Usually just as simple as forgetting to do the laundry, or forgetting to reply to a notification on his phone that he received three seconds prior. Simple things that didn't matter. This time, though, he forgot to charge his phone before leaving his new, barely furnished apartment. He didn't think much of it. If it died, it died. No biggie, right? He figured he'd be alright for an hour or so without his phone. That is, until he got lost in the large, unfamiliar town that he definitely didn't even slightly know the layout of. He didn't know where he was or how to get back to his apartment, especially without a GPS. And then, when it definitely couldn't get worse, it began to rain. Tommy was soaked. He was cold, hungry. He cut into an alley and sat down against a brick wall, curled up on himself. He sat there for a while, and then heard footsteps. It was three men. The older one crouched down in front of him. "You look awful...Come with us, mate." But Tommy didn't want to. His home, which was located on the more dangerous side of town, was robbed, resulting in his parents death, and the kidnapping of him and his sister, Lani. Lani was killed next to him just a few weeks later. Tubbo was eleven when he was taken, and fourteen when he was rescued and put until the system. He bounced from home to home for some months for either "being to quiet" or "not being able to take a joke," when the joke caused him a panic attack from his two years of trauma. Other homes just didn't want to take on the trouble of caring for a traumatized kid once they found out how "hard" it was. One day, when Tubbo is put in a home with a family of four, the dad of the other three and one of the kids, who is Tubbo's age, take a strong liking to Tubbo, who they thinks his name is Alesha and is a girl. His life does a very sudden 180 after one fateful Halloween night when he first becomes acquainted with a few members of the vampire coven that have apparently been in this town for generations. Mysterious disappearances and circumstances are starting to make more sense, and, unfortunately for Quackity, he now knows far too much to be left alone by a certain outcast vampire.
