To the softball girlies who wish they had the baseball/softball romance. Seventeen-year-old Ansley Bradford has only ever had softball. As the longest-standing varsity player, she's confident this is the year her team finally takes the district title-and earns the respect the boys' teams have hoarded for years. But when a sudden field renovation forces the softball and baseball teams to share practice space, the season takes a chaotic turn. Easton Whitlock, the baseball team's golden-boy catcher with a quiet past, makes things worse when a single lie-claiming he's in love with Ansley-throws her off balance and ignites a rivalry she never meant to entertain. She's sworn off dating baseball boys, but as practices collide and late nights turn into long conversations, Easton's easy charm starts to wear her down. Ansley has never needed anyone. She's always been the backup plan, the second thought. But with the spotlight on her team and a boy she might actually care for, she's forced to confront everything she's buried-grief, anger, and a fear of never truly being seen. Because if she's going to win, on the field or off, it won't be because of who she dates or how she plays. It will be because she finally chose herself. But victory comes at a cost. When the person who once understood her best is suddenly gone, Ansley will have to face her biggest heartbreak yet-and learn that grief can strike in ways she never expected.

*full available on Amazon. Free in KU.* Can you believe in someone who can't believe in himself? Maybe... Maybe I just wanted to get through Year 12, coaching, and soccer with no distractions. Maybe life had other plans. Maybe I shouldn't be drawn to Cole; the new guy who gets into fights and smokes. Maybe I should want to date Jaime; the nice, steady guy who's always been there. Maybe you can't help who you fall for, whether they're good for you or not. Maybe it shouldn't matter as long as you're happy. Maybe each new bruise on Cole's face is a reason to walk away. Maybe there's more to the secrets he hides and that's a reason to be there for him. Maybe a lifetime of pain can't be washed away by anyone else but you. Maybe finally proving that someone else isn't going to walk away is enough. Or, maybe it's time I got out of my own head and stopped wondering. Maybe it's time I just live by my own rules and find out the answers to all those maybes. It's time for no more maybes. A sweet YA romance about first love and learning to understand different experiences, this is Cole's story from Aurora's point of view. The companion novel, Gray's Blade, is from Cole's point of view; much like the characters themselves, Cole's version is darker, dirtier, and rougher. Read through to the end of No More Maybes for a sneak peek at chapter one of Cole's side. Please be aware that this story is set in Australia and therefore uses Australian English spelling and syntax.
