*full available on Amazon. Free in KU.* Can you believe in someone who can't believe in himself? Maybe... Maybe I just wanted to get through Year 12, coaching, and soccer with no distractions. Maybe life had other plans. Maybe I shouldn't be drawn to Cole; the new guy who gets into fights and smokes. Maybe I should want to date Jaime; the nice, steady guy who's always been there. Maybe you can't help who you fall for, whether they're good for you or not. Maybe it shouldn't matter as long as you're happy. Maybe each new bruise on Cole's face is a reason to walk away. Maybe there's more to the secrets he hides and that's a reason to be there for him. Maybe a lifetime of pain can't be washed away by anyone else but you. Maybe finally proving that someone else isn't going to walk away is enough. Or, maybe it's time I got out of my own head and stopped wondering. Maybe it's time I just live by my own rules and find out the answers to all those maybes. It's time for no more maybes. A sweet YA romance about first love and learning to understand different experiences, this is Cole's story from Aurora's point of view. The companion novel, Gray's Blade, is from Cole's point of view; much like the characters themselves, Cole's version is darker, dirtier, and rougher. Read through to the end of No More Maybes for a sneak peek at chapter one of Cole's side. Please be aware that this story is set in Australia and therefore uses Australian English spelling and syntax.

I'm running, my dress bunched up in my fists. But I'm not running for my life I'm running for his, and when I see him I stop. There is one bulky man on either side of him, they have their arms linking his, he's kneeling in front of someone with raven black hair. As we get closer, I see his pain in the way he's holding himself, his brown hair is clouding his face. Something catches in my throat as I see him bent forward, almost looking limp. The panic is slowly eating me up on the inside. 'Please lift your head, let me see your eyes' I pray inside my head. He can't be gone. It's almost like he hears my prayers as he looks up, his blue eyes as deep as the ocean depths, knocks the breath out of me as per usual. I close my eyes and thank God for keeping him alive. The right side of his jaw is all purple and red. A cut on the other side of his face, which is oozing with the red liquid. He suddenly looks past the black haired male to look at us, reassurance washing over his features. It's when he sees me that his eyes widen, and the panic grows by the second. He goes from a slump to picking himself upright. He's hurt. Badly. The black haired man spins around as we walk closer in their direction. All 6 of us stop as I catch a glimpse of the face. A deadly grin appears on his wicked face. "Boys, I've been waiting for you" He shouts loud and clear. When pulling into the driveway, Raven feels something is off but sweeps it to the side and as she steps up onto the porch she unknowingly seals herself into a wild weekend. Raven, expecting a couple of months of parties, laughs, and careless drinks to have a bittersweet farewell only instead sees the man she had a one-night stand with months prior standing just before her, but now as the man, her best friend is about to marry; Caiden Boyd. Caiden comes with his own large baggage but however that may be, he is still just as charming and sexy as ever with his light blonde hair and chiseled face. Raven tries her hardest to stay away from Caiden but Caiden seeks Raven out creating a wild explosion of events. One of those events led to none other than Holten Harrison who is completely different from Caiden and more down-to-earth. Only this just confuses Raven even more. Raven wanted love in her one-night stand, but as soon as she gets a taste of the man she thinks she had fallen for months ago, Raven ends up meeting another man who shows her what real love could be like between them. Is a one-night stand tough enough and strong enough to overpower true passion? Is love futile when you know it really won't work out in the end? Can you earn love even after you've burned a lifelong bridge? Is love worth it all if you risk the one solid friendship you've ever had?
