Clarissa ran away from home when she was 18 after she graduated high school. She had saved all of her part-time money for the last three years to be able to live on her own. She had managed to get through college while also working at a bookstore. This is her last semester and she is excited to spend it with her best friend Bobby before he leaves for a summer internship. She is also excited to take one more art class with her favorite art teacher, however; in an unfavorable turn of events her art professor gets replaced by a young art director who is the complete opposite of his predecessor. Clarissa's last semester is not what she hoped for but in the process she learns to cope with her past and allows herself to fall in love for the first time.
