Clara Stratton wants to kill herself.

No matter the trial attempted, whether it be attempting to slit her wrist or overdose on dirty pills, she can't accumulate enough willpower to cease her tortured life.

That's when she and her entire school is kidnapped to Greece during the Greek-American War to serve the Christakos House, where she meets the walled leader, Xerxes. He makes a deal with her: become his right-hand, and he'll put a bullet in her head. But that's not important. 

What is important is that in this particular part of Greece, you can find your born soulmate.

That's where things get interesting...
