The Only Reason

Michael locked the bathroom door and washed the blood out of his mouth from his busted lip.
"Fucking asshole", he muttered to himself.
After cleaning himself up, Michael glared at his reflection for a bit and became more and more disgusted by it the longer he gazed. "Pathetic and worthless". He thought. That's what he has become. His attention shifted toward his cell phone vibrating on the counter, revealing a text notification from Luke:
"Hey, is everything all right? Do you need to sneak over again? We can play fifa or watch Forest Gump?"
And that's when Michael realized that life wasn't completely shitty after all.
