Anyone who has played any Monster Hunter game will have probably noticed at some point that the ways these so called "monsters" act are strangely familiar, with their behavior being more animalistic than monstrous. This is without a doubt the thing that separates this franchise from all other monster hunting games; the beasts we do battle with are little more than this world's versions of animals. Now it's no secret that we're familiar with the lives of the humans, felyns, and wyverians, as we spend a lot of time with them; however, what about the monsters? Do we really know what the lives of these fantastical animals are like?

In this book, we'll be exploring the hidden lives of the monsters themselves and see the world through their eyes. We'll learn what their everyday lives are like, the challenges they must face to survive in their natural habitats, and even how they manage to more or less peacefully coexist with other creatures and civilization.

So if you want to see what it's like to live as a monster, join me on this journey, and discover the hidden lives of monsters.

Warning! Because nature can be very unforgiving, some of these stories may contain potentially upsetting content to some readers, with gore, violence, and mating being some of them. This book is supposed to give an accurate representation of monster lives, so despite not being present in the games for obvious reasons, the simple fact is that these less palatable things definitely do happen when nobody's looking.

Probably one of the most successful video game franchises in recent years, Monster Hunter has always been a series that has captured the imagination of many people with its fantastical yet realistic creatures. From the scary Vaal Hazak to the goofy Kulu Ya Ku, every last monster is unique and creative in its own way. With each species filling an ecological niche in the environment it inhabits, it honestly feels like you're exploring a real ecosystem, even if the animals that populate it are imagined. However, what if these creatures didn't come from a video game? What if these monsters were real flesh and blood animals that lived in our world? Well in this book, we'll explore an alternate universe where the beasts from Monster Hunter evolved on Earth. What would the pressures of our reality do to them? Where would they live? How might they affect the environments, and the species that live there? Would they act differently from their digital counterparts? How might they affect our own evolution? Making dinosaurs because easier with time, which brought the idea of revolutionizing modern warfare. "A creature of the future, made from pieces of the past," as it was described. The Indoraptor. A hybrid dinosaur, made to fight our wars. Made by none other than Doctor Henry Wu, an experienced scientist who was stripped of his name after the Jurassic World incident. With the idea, came prototypes, 4 to be exact, but only one of them went through the tests, the experiments, and all the things that went with making sure the dinosaur was ready for mass production. With that, came the diagnosis, of Hybrid Mental Control Disorder. Where the brain gets split, by the emotional sides of the one it belongs to. Ripper, was the one who was diagnosed, and then came the night where he was able to take advantage of his condition, and kill every human he could find, and with that, came his death. Or so, his presumed death. This story contains gore, violence, death, descriptive torture and gore, suicidal thoughts, massacre, and more, reader discretion advised. This story is not very well written, not anything like Ripper: an Indoraptor Story, or Hybrids, both by EkemWrites, but I still did my best on it, and I hope you enjoy it if you decide to read it. I advise watching Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom to get the basic story to avoid confusion at the beginning.

Throughout the book, the main character tries to discover what it means to be alive as a 'lower being' in a new world. Originally, she believes herself to be human until an accident occurs, and she finds herself to be woken up in the middle of what she thought to be some sort of cosplay festival. Oddly enough, these strange creatures weren't human, which she quickly realized after being attacked and nearly killed. Now she's got to learn how to survive in this new, scary environment where everyone's out for her demise. I've learned a lot of the parts in this book relate to real-life events, places in the present, and the past. You'll see a lot of connections between actual human historical events and the goings on in this book. The main character is, above all, head strong and bold. She's unafraid of the social normal and any punishments that come when defying them. ----- My original caption for the story: I had a dream, and it was kinda awesome and slightly romantic. I'll try my best to write down what I remember.

The ghouls are so excited. A few classes including one that their in, is taking a week long vacation to an offshore island near the Great Scarier Reef. It's a chance to go to the beach, explore, eat from island restaurants, and have a week of non-stop fun. This is going to be amazing. But, if only the ghouls knew about the nightmare it would become. As the ship their on sinks under mysterious circumstances, and the ghouls, as well as a lot of other individuals, are washed ashore on an unknown island, that isn't on any maps. They also meet two werecats. One who is a survivor of a similar incident, and the other who is a crazed killer that Clawdeen knows from her past. In addition. The islands wildlife think of folks as easy prey, and now hunt them for food. The ghouls must learn to survive, and ovid the slashers and creatures that call the island home. Will they make it to the end? Find out in this terrifying new entry to the Monster High series, Monster High Creature Island.
