It's been three years since Jayda and Caleb have went their separate ways in college. They were the 'power couple' during their years at UCLA. The two were inseparable, well respected, loved by many, but they were also envied. Jada called their (interracial) relationship quits back in college due to problems she was having a hard time coping with. The problems included racist professors and people close to Caleb. Caleb and Jayda reunite years later and things have transpired in their lives which makes things complicated. Caleb is engaged, and Jayda isn't the girl she was back in college before things ended with her first love. Will the two give things another shot and realize they belong together? Is Caleb going to accept that he shouldn't have let Jayda go and she shouldn't have given up. This is just not a story about love. It's also about making decisions in life that you choose to make, and not caring about anyone else's consent.

How bad could it be to enlist your female best friend into helping you lie to your Christian family about your new relationship with your male best friend and about your newfound sexuality? Not that bad, right? Right??? --------- Nova Queen and Arizona "Ari" Matthews weren't always close in high school, but after an intense and serious conversation in the library one day, the two become the best of friends until they go their separate ways their freshman year of college. Now in their mid 20s and freshly out of grad school, they are reunited in the park of their hometown where Ari asks a huge favor of Nova that she later wishes she had refused. But in the end, will she really wish she had refused? *FA spans a timeline from 2010-2020 to help the reader see how the relationships were built between characters in a partial series of flashbacks. It also helps the reader to really see into the minds of Arizona and Nova as they age, and the effect different life events have on them. It's a bit of a slower build and the plot is mostly seen a little later in the book, but I promise it's worth it. 🙂 *I do not own any of the rights to the music nor the pictures. *Rated M for language, sexual content, destructive behaviors, suicide, and dialogue that may be triggering for some readers. *These characters may do or say things that you don't agree or may get upset with, please remember YOU ARE NOT THESE PEOPLE, and their lives are a work of fiction and my imagination.
