For a ten year old boy Eli Knox has been through a lot , from abuse to rape to starvation to being abandoned. No one wanted to be friends with a boy who wore torn clothes and worn-out shoes.

Until he meet Athaliah Reese, she's the only one who befriended him, the only one who could make him smile even after getting a beating, the only one who could see through his facade.

Eight years later , the tables have turned, Athaliah's parents died forcing her to move in with her abusive narcissist uncle. Lets not forget the fact that she's failing in class and has slowly started falling into depression.

As for Eli Knox, his life couldn't be greater, his mom is a well known corporate lawyer and his dad is the CEO of his own cyber security company. His the captain of all the teams in his school and has two amazing friends.
