The rain had started to leave. He hugged her more tightly feeling nervous about what he was about to say next.
"If we divorce now.. will I stop being a burden?"
She didn't say anything but took off her ring and gave it on his hand. He nodded and pulled out the documents but she didn't let it go.
"Don't even bother hesitating. I promise, your life will get easier."
She nodded. He took them and signed.
"You are finally free...!!"

And I-" he stopped, exhaling hard, "I always fall for you." The rain hammered between us, but I barely noticed it now. "You don't even know me," I whispered. "I know how you hate raisins in your cereal. I know you tap your pen three times before answering a hard question. I know your laugh comes out of your nose first when something really gets you. And I know that even when you're furious like this-" his eyes locked with mine, "-you're just scared of being the only one who doesn't remember." I didn't speak. I couldn't. The weight of it, the surreal ache-it was too much. "I loved every you," he said quietly. "And I keep losing you. Over and over." My lip trembled. "Then stop finding me." "I can't," he whispered. "Are you happy?" The question comes out of nowhere and throws me off guard... Because 3 months ago, before he attended that party, I would have said yes I'm happy... But right now, I'm not sure.
