Exploring Cambridge Falls fills their days, as does bonding with Gabriel, who finds his heart, so bitter after being scorned many times, opening to the three children, especially brave Emma. Even as he deals with the usual characters of the town, both shady and not, Gabriel finds himself feeling as though he finally belongs.
