Emmy Lorraine is living her life exactly the way she wants to - owning and running her quaint coffee shop, The Coffee Bean, and enjoying her solitary, peaceful adult life - no strings attached, and certainly no unwanted communication with her pushy, controlling parents. But a recent fling with a man she barely knows has left her in a predicament that she never could have predicted. Pregnant and single, Emmy has to face the biggest hurdle of her life, and when Ben McAllister suddenly comes back into the picture, she really doesn't know how to reconcile her fierce independent nature with her constant, inconvenient attraction to him.
