when sirius black(plus some) goes to a masquerade ball remus is hosting, with the intent to kill the host himself. and the two are dragged into a dance, filled with the motives of killing one another.

"Sirius squeezed his arms together, ultimately choking Remus.

He held Remus' gaze, watching as the man wouldn't fold. The two stood frozen in dance. "Give up."

"Never," Remus gasped, turning colors.

Sirius just squeezed that much tighter.

He hadn't noticed how Remus slipped his hand into Sirius' vest, pulling out one of his daggers.

He didn't notice until it was embedded in his thigh.

Sirius gasped, letting go and pushing space between him and Remus. "You stabbed me," Sirius gasped in surprise (not really), pulling the dagger out of his dress pants and throwing the knife across the floor to remain a few feet away.

Remus just shrugged, grabbing Sirius' arms and placing them back around his neck. "I did. Now dance.""
