Percy Jackson stepped forwards, Anaklusmos held out in his hand. He was in the remains of the Olympian throne room- It was just him and Luke Castellan's corpse.
His feet crunched over shattered bits of marble and glass, the steps loud in the echoing silence.
He looked up to the starless sky above, terror suddenly clogging his throat. Something was wrong here.
He had been sure his dreams would end with Kronos' defeat, that he would no longer be haunted by visions of what could be and would no longer have voices clamouring in his mind.

Apparently not.
