He uses most of his money he to help pay for Chester's care for which insurance barely helps with. He's the polar opposite of Carolynn; pessimistic, jaded, bitter about pretty much everything and has a terrible habit of getting in his own way. He gets offers for better, well paying or going out with a new girl because, among other reasons, he thinks he doesn't deserve it.
