The Football War, also referred to as the '100 Hour War,' was a conflict which broke out on the 14th of July 1969, triggered by the FIFA world cup soccer match between after El Salvador and Honduras. From the perspective of Jose Cardona, a Honduran football player, his story will unfold the reality of being a national hero plunged in the middle of a terrible conflict. Disclaimer: Although I have tried to be as historically accurate as possible, there may be small errors and assumptions made about the player's identities and roles. There was limit information written in English about the conflict. Note: I am half-argentinian, and have studied Spanish for three years. I hope the language is also accurate, but there is potential for error.

"Hola, mi nombre es Y/N, y esta es mi vida." You smiled at the camera. Being married to the best defender in Mexico definitely had it's ups and downs, and now, you get to tell a bit of that story. This story follows a documentary style of "storytelling," in which most of the conversations and dialogues are in Spanish but the "documentary" explanation is in English. This is a Kevin Álvarez fanfic.
