In the beginning she was alive, her soul bare for this man, loved him with every fiber of her being. She was willing to give up everything that she had for him and worked hard for the future they both hoped for each other; when he still existed. She loved him but did he ever feel the same way? He was loving, caring, and kind; everything a girl could ever wish for in a man. The words destructive and inhuman would've never crossed her mind to describe her husband; or was she so stupid to see it all from the very beginning? Every day she prayed to the man above that the love and attention she constantly gave him would be enough to change such characteristic; no, flaw. But it wasn't so. Every day was a battle, getting worse and worse; that one day she just snapped. ***STRONG PLOT AND LANGUAGE*** ***UPDATE*** To my great surprise, this story has been getting more reads than I ever thought possible. I reread what I wrote once again and tried not to cringe at the many errors and awful sentence structure I had. So in the spirit of Christmas I will try to edit and perfect this story. There wouldn't be changes in the plot, just hopefully a better way of sharing my thoughts. Five men from different parts of the world tried committing suicide at the exact same time after going through certain hardships and ugly circumstances in their various lives. They were fed up with life and felt that there was no point to continue living. So, suicide was their only option to escape reality. As each of them was about to commit their own form of suicide, a mystical being suddenly appeared individually to them. These beings or entities were also five in number, just like the men. The mystical beings, all wearing long hoodie-type cloths that slightly covered their feet and of many different colors matching their skin tones, proposed a solution to each of the men, telling them that there is a way to change their fate for the better. Each of those men was very much terrified when they encountered these mystical beings, which looked like elves in appearance, but they accepted their offer, which they saw as a chance of changing their fate. The mystical beings did not actually tell them the way to change their fate but opened a rainbow multidimensional portal and all said the same thing, which is "FOLLOW ME IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR FATE," with a hand gesture signaling "follow me" towards the man they are individually with. These men did not hesitate but followed them through the portal with the mindset that they didn't have anything to lose by doing so, and they saw it as a chance of gaining salvation. In other words, a chance to be saved from their present predicament or situation and being improved or made new circumstantially.
