Ruby is five years younger than in cannon, meaning she never got the chance to go to beacon. However, When Summer gets a job at Beacon (she was pregnant at the time of "the mission" and couldn't go), she ends up bringing Ruby with her. Ruby is ecstatic to go at first, but Ruby has a hidden talent for attracting older girls, and being surrounded by them in Beacon might not be the safest thing.
