I did everything I was supposed to do. I trained hard; I learned strategy; I kept my secrets buried deep. This story is written in first person and alternates between you (Maia) and Kylo. It is highly smutty, but tells a genuine story.

The inspiration behind this story is my desire to see Kylo written differently. I love the Ren fics I've read, but I wanted to hash out a less abusive Kylo. He is still a dark lord, and he still doesn't wish to be in the light. But when it comes to love, can Kylo be soft? 

A lot of the story follows canon. The biggest difference is there is no Rey. No hate to the character, she just doesn't fit into this retelling!
