The job offer found you when you needed it most. Sure, you'd heard of the place, years ago when it had first opened. By that point you'd decided it came around one too many years late for you. You were already in your late teenage years by that point with the idea that you were "too old" for singing robots and arcade machines. Kind of a bummer in hindsight; nobody was too old for arcade machines. But at least you'd be making double you were currently making. Anything would've worked to get you on your feet. There was only one way to go, and it was up. And, of course, you'd already grown familiar with the strange purple regular who always found himself in the shop at the same time as you every day.
So a friendly relationship with your boss never got anyone killed... right? 🐇💜
