Fantasy Cove

The main character Rei runs away from her village that is under attack and is all set up in flames. She knocks out cold in near a Village named fantasy Cove. She is brought into Fantasy cove and is put at bed rest.
Rei is nurtured back to health.
This women named Claire basically tells her where she's at, she also mentions a guard dropped her off here.
Rei explains how her village was under attack.
Later Fantasy Cove troops are sent out to investigate. Rei meets beings of magic she has never met form. Her previously village lived nothing but humans. Rei debates whether to stay here because of her home literally being gone and start fresh, or to try to see if it's safe to head back home.
Rei stumbles upon a book named that was on Claire's study. She leads it to Rei for the meantime .
It seems to be a narrative of one of the greatest witches of all time who wrote down all her discoveries.

Later on we find out that Rei Town was burnt to the ground and that there was little remains and ashes spread everywhere. This is when she meets the "guard." This was the same guard that picked up Rei and brought her to the infirmary. We do not get a reveal yet of this mysterious helmeted man, or so we thought.
The troops were asked to be sent off across the to get more supplies from the neighboring allianced village and Rei is asked to come.
As she is traveling the sea, she keeps reading up on the book. It seems to be a diary. There's notes and drawings of different beings or creatures. What there are advantages and weaknesses are.
