This story takes place after the MWII 2022 ending, so spoiler warning! I am also not huge into COD lore and plan on making some stuff up so people can't come at me for inaccuracy :)! If I end up introducing Marakov, the story will go in a different direction than the games!

With the Graves incident coming to an explosive end, as well as the execution of the well-known terrorist leader Hassan, Laswell and Price have a lot of pieces to put back together. With Shepard gone dark, it's only a matter of time before he resurfaces with an army not many could face. The need for Taskforce 1-4-1 was greater than ever, but they needed more soldiers.
Thorn, code-name given for reasons unknown to most, but she always completes the mission with deadly precision and accuracy. A well-rounded special operations general, excelling in mid-to-close range combat. While many don't know the origin of her name, she's known for her nihilistic perspective and sarcasm; if they could even get her to talk. She's been in the military long enough to become a myth around the base camp she started at 12 years ago.
Owl, another special operations soldier, though he specializes in long-range marksman positions. He got his code name for holding down fire for his team with an MCPR-300 on a mountain cli ff while they tried to raid a drug-lord's mansion. He dropped over 30 targets, all over the large estate, and when they thought it was over, he turned over from his prone spot to kill a straggler trying to sneak up on him. Everyone says he has eyes on the back of his head, and maybe they're right. He previously was on a team with Thorn, with all the time spent on missions together, he'd say they're friends.
With no time to waste, Price rounds up the troops to an unmarked base to serve as a new headquarters for the war soon to come.

I am a 24 year old college student, studying at the University of Texas, who is currently doing volunteer work in Las Almas, Mexico. I'm studying to be an English major, and to get my end of the year credits, I have to do volunteer work in the rural villages in Mexico, for at lease six weeks. As I'm getting familiar with the area and the locals, I stop by a local flower shop, to add some decor to my makeshift classroom, and a dark beat up van, eerily creeps on by, with more cars following It, and masked individuals hop out if the cars, and unload bullets into the plaza, kicking over people and taking hostages. The sweet old lady behind the counter, ducks, and out of instinct, I run up, and try to block the door with whatever I can find, and I turn to her and try to calm her down. "We are going to be okay.." Trying to believe my own words, I hope she understands me, as I hold the door back, and i peep through the glass, trying to analyze the situation. There's so much going on, and even more people are arriving, in different cars and uniforms. The sounds of Spanish and breaking glass sound off from all over, and I put my fingers on my lips. "Shh.." as the sounds grew louder as they came closer. I hear English in the distance, and I get confused And I peep through the window, looking around, and they kick the door in, and I fly to the ground... What's going to happen next? Will she be saved? A slowburn-ish soapxreader story i made for fun (first time yay) COMPLETED+MINORS DNI all cover credits to 661ave on tik tok!! they make the best COD renderings. Reader is a solider working for the Shadow Company at Graves orders. The mission was to find, maybe fuck, and kill Soap, Ghosts only friend; without Soap Ghost would be a shell of a man and unable to use his strengths again the Shadow Companys bigger plan. But along the way things get a little south as you are instead taken as a hostage to the 141 at their base. Learning you were betrayed by Phillip Graves you join the 141 to help them out to get closer to Graves to kill him and escape the military all together with Benning, who may or may not be alive. It's not very lore accurate and loosely takes place during MW2. The most iinspo i got plot wise is the cold war campaign so if ykkk ;) At the beginning there was more POV variation; by the end i stuck with 2nd pov. mc is a little of self insert and annoying, dont worry.
