It's been a year since Isabell and the Pevensies returned to England. And nearly a year since the Pevensies left the manor. For a year, Isabell has been alone in the manor, writing to her friends. She misses Narnia as much as she misses the Pevensies. The ring that hangs around her neck serves as a reminder of her life as Queen of Narnia. Tensions are clear between the High King and the Telmarine Prince from the start, causing them to butt heads on what they think is right. Narnia is not the same as how they left it. Most of all, she was curious about Aslan and the four sibling monarchs. When Yvaine hears about King Edmund's arrival, she leaps at the chance to ease her curiosity. Despite the tensions growing everywhere, Yvaine finds herself growing closer to the Narnian king. What will it take to save his kingdom? What can she possibly do to help?
