The Medallion

Seraphina and Jax are two completely ordinary seventeen-year-olds. At least that's how they would describe themselves. Seraphina is adopted and lives with her foster mother who does not pay her much attention. Jax lives with his father next to Seraphina's foster home. His father is an alcoholic and his mother has long since disappeared. One evening, Seraphina climbs down her window to see Jax. They'd decided to go out into the woods and hang out in the abandoned house. But this night doesn't end like all the nights before has ended. Because across from Seraphina and Jax stands a creature they've never seen before. And it wants what Seraphina has found.
