Cicero thought when he finally went on a contract with the Listener, it would change his life. But not this way.
After meeting a Dunmer slave while on the job, Cicero becomes determined to know all about her, unaware of his feelings that keep growing. Only she has her secrets, about her Daedric worship, her past and her betrothal.

The Story of a Nightingale. Cyrodiil Tales. by Elsie2023
23 parts Ongoing Mature
Set in the world of Tamriel, The Story of a Nightingale is not your typical fanfiction. By genre, it could be called an AU-a derivative epic. Yet in truth, it is a dark, lyrical journey through one of Cyrodiil's hardest eras, as seen through the eyes of a girl too wild to be tamed, too clever to stay silent, and too human to escape pain. She was a Nightingale by birth, a thief by necessity, a prophet by vocation, and-eventually-an empress by her own hand. Along her trek through the mortal world, she met Daedric Princes, buried loved ones, defied gods, and built a new faith in a world that had forgotten what faith was. But through it all, she remained, somehow, herself. This is her memoir. Written in her own words. Sometimes naive. Sometimes cruel. Always real. I told her that her writing is tender and naive. Yet she firmly said: 'That's the world as I saw it, Daddy. Let it be.' And so it shall be. Her own blurb ( I didn't want to put it here, but Elsie insisted, even cried). This is not a novel. It is a prayer in the skin of a tale. A lullaby sung in a voice not quite human. A song whispered by a lost little girl to the shadow velvet who called her daughter. It is a secret left on the doorstep of night. It is a psalm for the forsaken. Read it only if you dare Sometimes it is a whispered curse in silk and sorrow Erratically, even a dusty grimoire. Read it slowly. Or not at all. It wasn't set down in writing for the impatient.

(On hiatus) WARNING: Mature themes/scenes be present. My story is ONLY available on W A T T P A D, if you're reading this on ANY other website but here, then DO NOT READ IT BECAUSE IT IS A STOLEN COPY!!! This is a WIP, it's not quite finished, this note will be removed when story is complete!* Druthza is a simple Argonian from Black Marsh, her childhood spent learning all about her race's history, their relationships with the other races of Tamriel... and the Dovah. She had a somewhat unhealthy obsession surrounding the dragons, almost every waking moment she would study all she could on them, learning their language and dreaming of seeing a dragon for herself. But, there were no more dragons... or were there? After crossing the border into Skyrim from Cyrodiil, Druthza is captured alongside a few Stormcloaks and shipped off to Helgen, her fate destined to be sealed via the chopping block. Abruptly, her world is turned on its head as she was soon able to escape Helgen after Alduin, the World Eater himself, attacks the village, bringing it to its knees. Soon, Druthza is in for the journey of a lifetime as she quickly discovers who she really is: the Dragonborn, slayer of the World Eater, killer of dragons... but she can't bring herself to accept that job, she would never hurt a Dovah. Will Druthza fulfill her fate the way she desires? Or will the perils of being a Dragonborn take her life instead? ___________________________________ Copyright© 2025- You are NOT allowed, under any circumstances, to post this anywhere else without my express permission. The Song of Deirdre Part I

15 parts Complete

Deirdre Morningsong returns to Skyrim seeking vengeance on the Nords who murdered her parents, only to be captured by Imperial soldiers who mistake her for a Stormcloak rebel. After escaping both the Imperial dungeons and the destructive return of the dragon Alduin, she resolves to discover what strange power is within her, and what the dragons have to do with it. Follows the main quest lines of the game, weaving them into a story of adventure and romance, with numerous twists on the canon. I'm hoping it's equally enjoyable for those who've played the game and those who haven't. Trigger warnings: rape is mentioned, one is attempted and prevented, but none are completed. Some other sexual assault. The first chapters are PG-13, but later ones become R-rated. (Feedback on appropriate ratings appreciated.) Skyrim is part of the Elder Scrolls series of games, copyright by Bethesda Softworks. The image for the book cover is from the game. I've only posted Part I here, but will soon post the rest (four parts total, 62 chapters). I've worked in nonfiction up to now because it's easier for me to describe places and events I can experience first-hand. I'm hoping that writing this fanfic will be a bridge to doing more of my own fiction.
