Danielle Henderson was never one to say no.
Not to her brother, no matter how annoying he can be.

But then, he started dating Nancy Wheeler, who was the complete opposite of Danielle and not someone she thought her childhood best friend should date.

Inside her was a storm of emotions and anxiety that she refused to acknowledge, and to top it off, people started to go missing. First, it was the sweet kid she used to hang out with when she got stuck babysitting Dustin. Then, it was the level-headed friend of Nancy.
There was something sinister in the small town of Hawkins, and it seems the more Danielle gets stuck in her own head, the more that darkness sinks its claws into her.

Moving into the small town of Hawkins during her sophomore year of high school wasn't a treat, but she didn't let it ruin her spirits too much. In fact, she even made some new friends along the way. Granted, most of them were in middle school and were major nerds, but that didn't bother her. She even joined in on some of their DnD campaigns whenever they invited her. It was fun, that was until one of the kids, Will, went missing. Along the way to finding him, (Y/N) befriends some people from her own school, including the goody-two-shoes Nancy Wheeler, and her boyfriend, Steve "The Hair" Harrington. She never really understood why everyone was obsessed with Steve. Or was everyone obsessed with his hair? She never knew. He could be a real asshole sometimes, too. But for whatever reason, she finds herself becoming closer with him the more they hang out.
