Briar is 13 years old and dealing with middle school is hard enough without her species dysphoria. During a particularly low part of her life that has lasted for months a strange creature comes out of nowhere to show her to a necklace that grants her greatest wish. But as she uses it more and more her human life starts to drift away. Her friends keep trying to pull her back but they should be happy that she's whole again right? But sooner or later she'll have to learn the hard way that you can't have a foot in both worlds.
