DR. RUTH CARSON grew up hearing about Pandora as a kid, hearing of the alien moon that promised beauty and awe. 

Coming from the lower class in the States, she fought tooth and nail to provide any opportunity to distance herself from the hard life she suffered on earth. Scholarships were hard enough to come by considering the outrageous overpopulation of the planet, but were almost unheard of with the intention of joining the Avatar Program, something the general public was not even entirely aware existed. Her one and only goal in life was to chase her doctoral degree in alien biology, to become a xenobiologist and scientist on Pandora. 

With desires to see more of Pandora and to learn of its strange connection that is seemingly reaching out to her, the woman decides to jump head on into a chain of events that would change the course of her life - all because of a marine in an avatar body.

NOT CANON, AVATAR FANFICTION, FIRST DRAFT Millions of years ago, Pandora was nothing but a dead, barren rock orbiting the gas giant Polyphemus. But the little life inside, gave birth to great hopes. The planet's remaining life force formed two superior beings known as "the Great Ones" who replenished Eywa, the life force of Pandora, and ultimately saving the planet from complete death. Once life was restored, the Great Ones settled down near the Hallelujah Mountains which was given to them as a gift from Eywa where they birthered three children. Yet conflict erupted between the siblings when the Great Ones were at the old age, war and destruction broke out on Pandora. Seeing how their own children were destroying the planet that they built, they knew they had to do something. Out of the three, only one remained faithful to Eywa, keeping traditions while the other two, was fell to complete corruption and filled with jealousy, hatred and killing. They journeyed to the Tree of Souls to communicate with Eywa. Yet on their way, they were attacked and were killed, leaving Pandora in the hands of the three siblings. The death of the Great Ones led to the Great War between the siblings. Many died, as they crippled each other's forces for years. As soon as peace was in reach, one of the siblings launched a campaign, destroying all life everywhere he went, in hopes to rule Pandora and kill his siblings. The three siblings were known as Iley, the scaled people of the seas(Iledians), Sangheili, the hell warriors of the mountains(Sanghelios) and Na'vi, the people of the forest(Na'vi). Now, 2000 years before the events of James Cameron's Avatar, the exiled surviving Sanghelios clan Nifnu Tspang(Silent Killers) experienced a strange sickness that plagued their entire clan. In desperation, they sent out two young warriors to Na'vi land in search of a cure to the inevitable fate that lies before their species from Eywa herself.

Eywa is calling - do you hear her? Phoenix is ecstatic to arrive on Pandora, having been chosen as a civilian test subject for Dr. Augustine's Avatar Program. A reunion with the man she's secretly involved with comes into conflict as she becomes more and more invested in saving the Navi people and world. Commander Miles Quaritch was on a mission to escort some new scientists down to the research facility built on Pandora. Whilst doing so, his ego got the best of him and he got the idea to 'show off his power'. Walking up to the pilot, Commander Quaritch ordered a fire on an area covered by trees. Little did he know, he fired on a small medical lab that was run by a team of humans selected specifically by his higher ups. Once he landed and finished his escort mission, he was ordered to return to base and was put on suspension. Back on Pandora, a human child was the only thing left in the rubble of the destroyed medical lab. Unknown to Commander Quaritch, he had orphaned a two year old little girl, and left her in the ruins surrounded by more than 10 dead bodies. The mother of the child was killed, along with every human she has ever known. Once the child woke up and began to cry, she was so young she couldn't do anything. She knew she was hurt and scared, the bright light from the sun and all the ash falling onto her white skin further frightening her. The two year old was all alone. The forest line next to the medical lab began to make noise as a Thanator began to answer to the baby's cries. The feline-esque creature listened to her maternal instincts and followed the sound of despair. The animal climbed down from the trees and poked her heads out of the leaves, her many eyes finding the source and locking onto the injured infant. This is where the child's story begins... (Parts of the original timeline from the movie has been changed for the story line to work properly)

I wasn't special, I wasn't a marine or a scientist sent here from earth to study Pandora, I was a behaviorist-some say behaviorists are scientists too; but the brain isn't made up of mathematics and hope, it's like the roots of trees. Forever speaking but unheard. I study people's brains and their behavior. I don't look at it with hope and faith. I'm nothing special, not really. When I was accepted to help with Project Pandora, I was exhilarated. This was my big break, something to get me out there. I never expected for it to spiral into my life unprofessionally-become personal, emotional. That I would have to fight in a war between man and alien, choose between my own people and a clan of beings that accepted me-welcomed me, trained and made me one of them. This wasn't supposed to become personal, but it did.

NOT CANON, AVATAR FANFICTION, FIRST DRAFT Millions of years ago, Pandora was nothing but a dead, barren rock orbiting the gas giant Polyphemus. But the little life inside, gave birth to great hopes. The planet's remaining life force formed two superior beings known as "the Great Ones" who replenished Eywa, the life force of Pandora, and ultimately saving the planet from complete death. Once life was restored, the Great Ones settled down near the Hallelujah Mountains which was given to them as a gift from Eywa where they birthered three children. Yet conflict erupted between the siblings when the Great Ones were at the old age, war and destruction broke out on Pandora. Seeing how their own children were destroying the planet that they built, they knew they had to do something. Out of the three, only one remained faithful to Eywa, keeping traditions while the other two, was fell to complete corruption and filled with jealousy, hatred and killing. They journeyed to the Tree of Souls to communicate with Eywa. Yet on their way, they were attacked and were killed, leaving Pandora in the hands of the three siblings. The death of the Great Ones led to the Great War between the siblings. Many died, as they crippled each other's forces for years. As soon as peace was in reach, one of the siblings launched a campaign, destroying all life everywhere he went, in hopes to rule Pandora and kill his siblings. The three siblings were known as Iley, the scaled people of the seas(Iledians), Sangheili, the hell warriors of the mountains(Sanghelios) and Na'vi, the people of the forest(Na'vi). Now, 2000 years before the events of James Cameron's Avatar, the exiled surviving Sanghelios clan Nifnu Tspang(Silent Killers) experienced a strange sickness that plagued their entire clan. In desperation, they sent out two young warriors to Na'vi land in search of a cure to the inevitable fate that lies before their species from Eywa herself.
