The story begins with five boys - inseparable best friends from wealthy, influential families. Their bond was more than friendship; it was a brotherhood. But everything changed on the 24th of June, 2021. On his birthday, one of them, Kim Sunoo, was found dead inside the science laboratory.

The detectives and doctors quickly closed the case, ruling it a suicide caused by depression and academic stress. But Sunoo's younger sister, Kim Soo-ah, who had been studying abroad, refused to accept their conclusion.

At the funeral, surrounded by both familiar and unfamiliar faces, Soo-ah made a silent vow. She would transfer to her brother's school, determined to uncover the truth about his death.
