For as long as anyone could remember, Aspen Greenwood and Cara Jasper had been at odds with each other. Whether they were going after the highest AP test scores or a spot on the varsity teams in school, or even the title of "most likely to succeed" as graduation creeped closer, the only word they seemed to associate with each other was competition. Even when college rolls around and they expect to never have to deal with each other again, they find themselves clashing once more when they realize they've been assigned as roommates.

Immediately, their top priority is to get as far away from each other as possible. Both girls want nothing more than a fresh start from high school, yet they can't accomplish that with a piece of their past sleeping in the bed right next to them. However, the longer they're forced to be around each other, the more they start to learn just how well they work together, and it's not long before their mutual loathing transforms into something far stronger.
