Napapanahon nang i-revamp ang political system ng Pilipinas. Bulok na raw ang presidential form of government. 

"Palitan na ang Republika!" sigaw ng iba. 

"Parliamentary form of government naman!" mungkahi ng ilan.

"Federalismo!" pahabol pa ng Federal Party.

Pero sino ang magiging head of state?

Puwede namang president uli, pero ceremonial na lang ang role niya. Ang siste, kailangan pa ring ihalal every six years. Ang hassle at magastos! 

Or Prime Minister na rin ang head of state and government. Pero paano naman ang check and balance? 

Teka, ba't di na lang monarchy kaya? Tutal, nahuhumaling naman ang mga Pilipino sa celebrities at beauty queens. Yung puwedeng hangaan at pagkatiwalaan.

Kaya nang magdaos ng national plebiscite, sa di inaasahan ng political pundits, biglang nagkaroon ng isang democratically installed monarchy ang bansa--ang kauna-unahan na yata sa buong mundo.

Kasama ang kanyang Left-leaning na asawang si Bai na taga Maguindanao, tunghayan natin ang buhay ni Andres Novales IX, isang scientist, academician, at closet Republican, at ang kanyang di inaasahang pag-akyat sa trono bilang...
