She was seated next to the window seat. Strangely, I've been seeing her every day on my way to work, either in the morning or at night, either crossing across the street or catching a glimpse of her back anywhere I go. I grinned as I approached her.

I touched her shoulder making her jump slightly. "Is this seat taken?" I questioned why she was looking up at me with big eyes.

"Ye-ss, I mean No, no" she mumbled. I raised my brow at her stuttering and took a seat.

"So I have a question to ask you." She put her phone down and made straight eye contact with me before leaning back in her chair and crossed her arms.

"I believe I may have an answer to your question." I let out a small chuckle at her sudden confidence.

"Is it just a coincidence that I've been seeing you for the past three days after our little encounter, or are you a crazy stalker stalking me?" she sighed.

"I kill for living" I said seriously expecting the beauty before me to back away in fear. I leaned close towards her and brought my face just inches away from her beautiful pinkish face. "Kill? Kill what?" She frowned. I internally hit my forehead at the raising annoyance. She didn't back away from the closeness, in fact she did not observe it at all. She was too much into the conversation. "Of course I Kill people. I'm not into poultry to raise and kill chicken." I scoffed and leaned in closer to intimidate her. I was expecting her to shriek, cry, yell and run away far from me but What I got in response was what exactly you expect from the beauty. The unexpected answer. "So you clean too. Nice." She told herself with a smile and a appreciative nod. "Goodness, What and why would I clean?" Furrowing my brows in confusion and utter disbelief, I shook my head to compose myself. "You said you kill people. You kill bad people to do welfare to the Earth so you are cleaning away dirt right?" That did it. I, Demyan Lev Petrov, the most powerful, ruthless and dangerous king of Mafia, accept that I lost the argument to her. Zinnia Mae White, the most innocent and a mental girl I ever got lucky to meet. I love her This mental, fickle minded, school teacher of mine! My Zinnia, My insane solace.

There are worse things than death. ___ "What is wrong with you?" I seethed. She had my back against the wall, pinning me down so I couldn't move. She was much stronger than me, even when I used my strength to get out of her embrace. I held her gaze and I knew that she was gone. There wasn't an ounce of goodness left in her body. She laughed at my question. Of course, I knew what was wrong with her. But I have to find a way to get her back. "What is wrong with me? Ha, nothing sweetheart." she told me with a smile on her face. "I'm just having a little fun." "Yeah, and fun for you is killing innocents," I growled. "Oh, I hate to say this to you but they aren't all innocent." I finally broke free of her and I dropped her to the floor. I held her down with both arms while I was on top of her. All she did was give me a smile. An eerie smile that made a shiver run down my spine. "I should kill you for what you've done," I whispered. "I should make you pay." "Oh, but Sebastian, you won't," she said. "You know why? Because at the end of the day I'm still me, and you will never hurt me, will you?" I hated that she was right. I couldn't kill her. My mind told me that it would be the best to do it but my heart told me otherwise. I mentally cursed at myself for letting this happen to her. "Elora, I know you're still in there." I said. She was still on the ground, but she was not resisting which seemed odd. "She died a long time ago," she said finally. "Alongside her love for you." ___ Book Two in the "From Death to Life" Trilogy #13 in Bloodlust
