    My eyes snap back up to him. His hooded eyes watching me down the bridge of his nose.  "Can you just tell me why I'm here?" 

    His eyes hardened, and his grip tightens around my throat. The gasp that was meant to inhale air being cut off from the sudden blockage. I stare up at him through blurry vision as my eyes start to water. My chest heaving while my mouth parts, but no sounds come out.

   "I can," he grunts out as he releases his death grip. His hand barely grazes me as he snakes it around to the nape of my neck. His grip is rough as he pulls me into his chest. My body flushed against his. 

   Gio suddenly dips his head to the left. His prickly stubble lightly grazing my cheek. I can feel his lips brush my ear as he speaks, and I involuntarily shiver. "But I don't want to."

Alex says from the back seat, but before I can pry my eyes away from them and remove my death grip off the steering wheel to open my door I hear him scream at her again "FUCK OFF HOME!! NOWWW! BEFORE I KILL YOU!!" In the blink of an eye she gets up and takes off running. Running his hand through his hair and cursing he strides across the parking lot and back to the bar, we watch him as he disappears inside. "Do you think she's ok? It looked like he really hurt her boss" donnys says quietly, almost at a whisper towards the end. "Let's find out" I grit out as I start the car and peel off out the parking lot to find her, she couldn't have gone far.
