Metamorphosis

" Humid.

Unbearably humid.

Walking among the fog, breathing was a concept that was almost foreign to any normal person that dared to brave these lands.

The insignificant splashing of water was never too far away.

Survival was. . . Impossible.

And yet, in this ruined, yet beautifully harmonious land-

There prospered a kind.

Their kind.

Their kin.

Our kin.

There isn't any pain. Why would we need such an ugly sensation?

There isn't any hunger, or thirst. We have long since passed the need for such menial matters.

There isn't any disease or death. For what could kill us, other than our own offerings to kin?

Perfection? No. Nothing is perfect.

But we will evolve.

We will change.

We will prosper.

For even the distant cosmos will become our home. "
