Commander, soon to be Captain, Samantha Kazansky is in command of an aircraft carrier while balancing a home life with Commander Bradley Bradshaw, a reserve pilot, and two children they call their own. But when the Navy calls for a deployment that would test her abilities, she receives help from some familiar faces only to have to abandon her duty when her team falls short, leaving her family in the dark for what may be forever.

This story takes place after the Rooster Timeline in "Fly High and Go Far", my original Top Gun fanfiction. Please go read that before reading this as it references the story. This story is completely my own plot, some characters are not my own.
